I need that 1981mm height door, but the opening will only allow for something 762mm wide. Could I reasonably trim ~30mm from either long edge without unduly removing the door's strength? And are there any edge-in fixings through those side rails inward that would cause an issue when sawing?
There are dowels within the framing that could be cut when trimming so much from this gate. Should you wish to go ahead, you’d need to ensure you secure the joint with additional screws to lower the chance of failure. Please note that this would void your warranty, as we could no longer guarantee the gate structure has not been compromised in doing so.
