Free Standard UK Mainland Delivery for roof windows over £500 (exc. apply)

We offer an efficient delivery service to most mainland UK postcodes within 3-7 working days (with exceptions of postcode, national bank holidays & Christmas shutdown) of dispatching the order. We strive to complete delivery within this timeframe – if the ordered products are not shown as being on an extended lead time for any reason. Once we accept your order, our delivery team will contact you to confirm a suitable delivery date with you. Someone must be present at the delivery address on this date to receive the goods.

We do not charge for deliveries on orders for stock doors and patio door sets that are above £750 to England, Wales and most of Scotland, with an exception of some off-shore areas such as the Inner and Outer Hebrides, Orkney, Shetland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, and Northern Ireland.

  • Delivery charges for single doors are £40.50 for the first item, and £6 for each item thereafter, to a maximum cost of £66.
  • Delivery of French and folding doors will cost you £60, if the price is under £750.
  • For an order with quantity of 10 or more internal (and/or fire) door sets, delivery is free. Orders having less than 10 internal door sets will be charged at a £80 flat rate. Baskets containing door sets are charged.
  • Only hardware orders will cost a flat rate of £14.99. Hardware-only orders not eligible for the £750 free delivery.

Express Delivery

If you order doors from LPD Doors, Deanta Doors and XL Joinery Doors, you can get the advantage of our 2 day express delivery service. All door in this order must be of these brands and must be in stock. We cannot do split deliveries in this instance. If your order attracts the express delivery choice, you will be notified at checkout. Express Delivery orders will not be eligible for the £750 free delivery promotion.

Receiving your Order

After delivery, before you unpack, we suggest you perform checks for visible damage to the goods or packaging by the courier or delivery company. If you find any damage, then do the following:

  • If you find the goods are damaged: Go ahead and refuse delivery and mark the delivery note or hand-held computer, as damaged and returned. Then inform us through call or email to inform us about the damage.
  • If you notice that just the outer packing has minor damage: You may accept the goods and add the remark, ‘packaging damaged' to the delivery note. You should unpack the doors and check for manufacturing faults, other defects or missing parts, no later than 48 hours of delivery.
  • Damaged or missing items/goods must be reported within 48 hours, if not already reported on the delivery note. If you don't within the established time, your claim may be denied. Once a product is modified from the original form, it is considered as fit for use, and if you install a damaged item, we will not be able to accept any claim.
  • If your product belongs to a set, and some items from the set is missing or damaged, then you do not need to return the full set. Simply contact our customer service team and they will send out the missing items or replace any damaged ones.

For quick resolutions of any faults, defects or missing parts, call our Helpline or email with details of your order (delivery number and postcode), images and description of the fault or damage at support@buildworld.co.uk.

We can replace single items that may be missing or damaged at the earliest, subject to stock availability.

The Buildworld team suggests that you do not hire installers/fitters until you receive order complete order, inspect and check the items thoroughly if they are what you ordered and in expected condition.

All deliveries will be made to the address provided by you at the time of ordering. In case this is not the correct address, we may levy charge for delivery to a new address. All deliveries/orders must be signed for and received by an adult.

If we attempt and fail to deliver on the proposed delivery date, due to unavailability of an adult to accept delivery, then we reserve the right to charge for any further delivery attempts, transportation or storage costs, which we incur.

06:30 and 19:00, Monday to Friday, is our delivery time and you should expect it at anytime within this timeframe. If it’s on a Saturday, it will be by agreement only.

Its best to avoid installing or modifying a damaged item, and notify us instead. Damaged or defective items will be replaced to you and the original goods will be sent back to our suppliers. To modify a product from the original delivered form and/or to install it is considered as acceptance that the product is fit for use.

Our couriers are not insured to carry goods into your home, sometimes the driver will assist an able bodied person at the delivery address, who can offload/lift doors into your home as on larger palletised deliveries, delivery is usually kerb-side only.

How much do I have to spend for free delivery?

Currently, we do not offer free delivery on any orders. However, certain items are delivered free of cost, based on your shipping area. To check if the item falls under free delivery, you need to click on Delivery button on the product page itself. Then you need to enter the post code of your shipping address, and click on Submit button. Based on your shipping postcode, if the item is set to free, we will display the shipping cost as £0.00.
