The company, which was founded in 1870 by John Blower Kind, began as timber merchants, going on to manufacture beer crates and ammunition boxes during the world wars, and eventually evolved into the timber pallet industry. The door division was launched in 1983 and is now the sole focus of the company.

Today the company prides itself on an extensive range of quality door designs – in fact, JB has over 200 different models.

Environmental sustainability is at the heart of the business’s ethos, and all doors are produced from legal wood sources. Over 50% of JB Kind’s doors are certified by the globally recognised Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC).
